Gardai confirmed that the man required hospital treatment for injuries sustained in the horrific incident
Shocking footage has been widely circulated online that appears to show a man being run over and then apparently being brutally attacked with an iron bar.
Onlookers can be heard screaming for the violence to stop as a man is seen raining down several blows on the struck individual in the middle of the road.In a statement, gardai confirmed the incident is under investigation — and that a man was taken to hospital.
