Cross-border travel between Hong Kong and mainland China will be cut back significantly due to coronavirus, with measures expected to start Thursday and continue until further notice
HONG KONG—Chief Executive Carrie Lam said cross-border travel between the city and mainland China would be reduced significantly due to the spreading outbreak of the Wuhan coronavirus.
Speaking Tuesday at a news conference while wearing a surgical mask, Mrs. Lam said Hong Kong would shut two railways that connect to the mainland, as well as reduce cross-border tour buses, ferries and flights that go to and from China.
