WITH no money for rent, a man and his wife in Pasir Gudang, Johor, have been forced to construct their own shelter with recycled items, reported Harian Metro.

Shuib Alna, 69, and his wife, Sarimah Shaari, 61, have to make do with living on a spot beside Sungai Masai after both lost their sources of income.“I also don’t know the proper channels by which I can apply for a unit under the People’s Housing Project but I am thankful that my wife is willing to face this with me. She has never complained,” he said.

When contacted, a spokesman from the Johor Islamic Religious Council said a representative visited the couple recently, adding that aid had been handed over to them.> Kosmo! reported Singapore-born actor Datuk Aaron Aziz as urging the courts to blacklist all those who had been convicted of cheating to prevent more victims from being duped.

“It’s sad to see people who have suffered such losses unable to celebrate the holiday because all their money has been stolen,” he said on Instagram.
