KUALA LUMPUR, June 27 — Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail today said that 1,120 migrant workers were brought into Malaysia without waiting jobs as legally required.
Saifuddin said that the government will act against the agents and employers involved, which would include “blacklisting” the companies. “We also know who the agents and employers are and most of these foreign workers were brought in for the cleaning industry... most of them are Bangladesh citizens,” he told reporters after a joint meeting between the Home Ministry and the Human Resources Ministry at the Putrajaya Marriott Hotel.
