KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 — Tan Sri Razarudin Husain has been appointed as the new Inspector-General of Police for a term of two years from June 23 this year to June 22, 2025.
Meanwhile, the ministry announced that federal Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay has been appointed as the new deputy IGP starting from June 23 this year. He has held various positions in the police force starting as an investigating officer in 1984 at the Kedah Crime Investigation Department , and later serving as an assistant superintendent of police in Muar, Johor, until 1996.
Ayob Khan was born on July 27, 1966, in Kota Setar, Kedah and has a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
