Hollywood writers and their talent agents dug in their heels and showed no signs of backing down from their entrenched positions following their failure on Friday to arrive at a new agreement.

Agencies have indicated that they are not retreating from their position despite mounting pressure from clients. On Sunday, the ATA offered its own standards governing how member agencies should interact with clients. The standards include best practices guidelines for a wide range of business interactions with clients.

Agents had proposed to share 80% of an undefined portion of back-end profits with writers. The guild is claiming that the portion was just 1%, which would mean that writers would receive only 0.8% of those profits. The ATA declined to comment.
