KOTA KINABALU: A group from Hong Kong is keen to work with Sabah to hold an international music festival in the state.
This was conveyed by the Hong Kong International Musician Association to state Assistant Tourism, Culture, and Environment Minister Datuk Joniston Bangkuai during a courtesy call on Friday.
Its chief executive officer Jye Lee had proposed that a Sabah Borneo International Music Festival that features competitions, forums and masterclasses, among others, be staged in the Land Below the Wind. “We aim to offer an international stage for all musicians. We believe the Sabah Borneo International Music Festival could attract about 10,000 participants,” he said.
