‘Antipathy’ to Trump’s America: How polarising policies are impacting tourism, with the US set to lose US$64b in revenueDeputy Health Minister Datuk Lukanisman Awang Sauni today said the YOLO mindset among youth may be driving risky behaviour, including same-sex relationships, contributing to rising HIV cases among men aged 20 to 39.
Lukanisman added that, according to 2024 surveillance data from the National AIDS Registry , 90 per cent of HIV cases involved men, with 75 per cent affecting individuals aged 20 to 39. “Meanwhile, Selangor recorded the highest number of new HIV cases, with 1,085 cases , followed by Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya with 365 cases and Sabah with 344 cases .
