Malaysian actor Hisyam Hamid expresses his opinion on the use of hot scenes in local dramas, stating that a good story doesn't need them and that he personally avoids such scenes.
If a drama needs an outlandish hot scene, it's not a good story. This is the opinion of actor Hisyam Hamid , who disagrees with the notion that local dramas need to emulate foreign productions with bedroom scenes or provocative half-naked scenes. For Hisyam, or Hazmi Hisyam Abdull Hamid, 39, he respects the opinion of any creator who wants to include such scenes in their work if it is the main attraction of a drama.
However, for him, a good story doesn't need excessive hot scenes because it can be touching on its own and will sell itself. \'In my opinion, we don't need to compare our dramas with Indonesian productions that are more daring with scenes that can make your eyes pop,' he said. Many dramas have proven that without such scenes, the story can still reach the audience. Unless that's what you want to sell. But a good drama doesn't need excessive hot scenes,' he told Utusan Malaysia recently. \Elaborating further, Hisyam, who is now known as Malaysia's hottest bachelor, admitted to receiving offers that asked him to wear short pants and no shirt. However, the actor of Andai Tiada Dia remained firm in his principle of not wanting to be involved in such scenes. \'If you follow the original script, there are many hot scenes, but personally, I have set a limit on how far I can go. I won't wear short pants or take off my shirt. I talked to the director and he also agreed that we don't need to be excessive. We then discussed with the production team and only played with camera techniques to show a certain scene. \'If they wanted someone who could act out hot scenes, maybe I'm not the right person. Maybe when I was younger and still new to the entertainment industry 11 years ago, I did it because I was afraid of contradicting the director's instructions,
