NSTnation Hishammuddin's new year message signboard dismantled

The move however did not sit well with some townfolk as the signboard had been there for quite sometime and they believed a permit had been applied.

A resident in Taman Kota Paloh, Atan Ibrahim said they were shocked as the signboard was not blocking anything."Truth be told, this billboard has no political element in it, just a new year message from the leadership of the Sembrong parliamentary constituency to the people here. "In fact there are billboards with a similar message put up in other areas in this parliamentary constituency such as the Mardi roundabout, Taman Sri Lambak, Kampung Melayu Batu 4, Paloh and Kahang, but they weren't removed," he said when met, here, today.

Atan said MPK should have issued a warning first if the installation of the signboard had violated any rules before action was taken.Related stories
