A man has disappeared in the same California swimming hole where a woman slipped and fell to her death last week.

A week prior, Sarah Louise Crocker, 48, of Ladera Ranch, was hiking with family friends at Three Sisters Falls. The five hikers reached the middle pool of the falls when one of the teen girls slipped. Crocker grabbed the girl to pull her back from the edge, but both ended up falling over the waterfall. Bystanders attempted CPR on Crocker, who landed in the bottom pool area, but she was declared dead at the scene. The girl survived her injuries.
Although the Three Sisters Falls trail is a well-trafficked one, it’s by no means for amateur hikers. The U.S. Forest Service warns on its site that the hike is “moderate to strenuous” and the slippery, wet rocks cause many accidents.
