Highway users welcome PLUS toll rate reduction

MALAYSIANS, especially highway users, have expressed relief over the government’s decision not to sell PLUS Malaysia Berhad and to reduce the toll rates by 18%. The decision has dampened rumours about the sale of the country’s biggest highway concessionaire and the PLUS takeover issue that had attracted at least five bidders, including Maju Holdings Sdn Bhd, and businessmen Halim Saad and Wong Gian Kui.
