The Northern California regional semifinals will be played at home sites on Saturday, followed by regional finals Tuesday night.St. Francis is 5-0 this season against its West Catholic Athletic League rival but the past two matches between the teams were stretched to a decisive fifth set, including in the Central Coast Section Open Division final last weekend.Both will be at home for semifinal matches Saturday evening, with top-seeded St. Francis playing No.

In Division II, third-seeded Aragon , which beat Del Oro-Loomis in four sets on Thursday, will travel to San Francisco to face second-seeded University . In Division III, third-seeded Mercy-Burlingame , which swept No. 11 seed Kingsburg 3-0 on Thursday, will play No. 15 seed Pleasant Valley at Serra. Fourth-seeded Menlo-Atherton will travel to top-seeded Archie Williams . M-A advanced with a 3-1 on Thursday over No. 5 seed Santa Cruz.

In Division IV, 11th-seeded Head-Royce upset No. 3 seed Sonora 3-0 on Thursday to set up a semifinal match in Angels Camp against 10th-seeded Bret Harte . In Division V, top-seeded Skyline swept No. 8 seed Bear River 3-0 and fifth-seeded Berean Christian outlasted No. 4 seed Big Valley Christian 3-2. The Bay Area teams will meet Saturday at Skyline for a trip to a NorCal final.The Central Coast Section and North Coast Section boys and girls water polo championships will be played Saturday, with the CCS holding all of its finals at Hollister High and the NCS scheduling its top divisions at Acalanes High and Division II at Marin Academy.
