The Rockets scored three touchdowns in a span of 3:25 midway through the second quarter to go from being up 11-3 to taking a 32-3 advantage into the locker room at halftime. Judson’s offense took advantage of short fields provided by its defense, which forced a safety, snagged two interceptions and recovered a fumble.
The Rockets limited the Chargers to only two first downs and minus-3 yards of offense in the first two quarters. Judson’s three first-half touchdown drives covered just 8, 14 and 36 yards, and the Rockets cruised to the victory in the second half.
