KUALA TERENGGANU : The High Court here recorded an out-of-court settlement in the defamation lawsuit involving Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Kuala Terengganu MP Datuk Ahmad Amzad Hashim .Both parties agreed to withdraw their respective claims without any costs and without the option to refile the case.

"After considering the impact of the defamation lawsuit and the legal costs involved, both parties agreed to end this dispute in the Kuala Terengganu High Court.Ahmad Amzad withdrew his statement made on December 7, 2022, while Anwar withdrew the lawsuit without any costs. Both parties expressed their appreciation to the judge and court staff and hoped this decision would be respected for the nation's well-being.
