The Food Vision report, which was published in 2021, laid out a roadmap for exports to rise from €14 billion to €21 billion by 2030 and envisaged Ireland becoming a “world leader in sustainable food systems”. Mr Justice Humphreys said FIE’s complaint of an “invalid” appropriate assessment, which is intended to determine a project’s effects on a protected site, was “totally misconceived”.
