Hero Scot ran into burning building to save neighbour from flat fire which killed his cat
Chris Logan, 38, raced into the tenement on Bathgate Street in Dennistoun when he saw a woman in the window above his flat, where the fire had taken hold. Chris managed to burst through the woman's door and guide her downstairs before he was taken to hospital to be treated for severe smoke inhalation.
"I got to my door and smashed it in. As soon as it opened there was a wall of black smoke. I dropped down and crawled to my living room. "My mind was set on getting my brother's ashes and my cat but unfortunately I failed at both of those things. "I tied my hoodie round my face got to her door and smashed it in. I threw my hoodie over her and managed to get her back downstairs to almost the bottom floor and we just fell over.
