Rapper DaBaby was arrested after a concert in his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, Monday night. The musician, whose real name is Jonathan Kirk, was taken into custody for suspicion of possession of marijuana, according to WSB-TV, an Atlanta news station.
DaBaby claimed he was charged with resisting arrest in a conversation with North Carolina news outlet WSOC Channel 9 Monday. During the interview, DaBaby held up a police citation that he said was for resisting arrest. Using text on screen, the rapper wrote"Notice their body language when they realized someone caught them doing what they were doing." The video then showed the officers walking away from the white car to approach the car where the two men were sitting."You want to know if we were breaking in the car? Not yet," the officer replied.
