Trump and Maxwell were seen together numerous times in the 1990s and early 2000s, when Trump was still friendly with Jeffrey Epstein.
Maxwell is being held without bail in a Brooklyn federal prison while awaiting trial on charges of enticing and transporting minors as part of Epstein’s alleged sex ring, along with committing perjury during depositions about Epstein in 2016. She pleaded not guilty and has denied all previous allegations against her. Maxwell arrived in the U.S. around 1992, after her father, U.K. media mogul Robert Maxwell, died under mysterious circumstances.
After Epstein’s death by suicide in a Manhattan jail in August 2019, the two were the subject of a civil lawsuit filed by Virginia Roberts Giuffre against the late financier’s estate. Giuffre has alleged that Epstein and Maxwell forced her to have sex with their powerful and famous friends, including Prince Andrew, who has denied her claim. Maxwell disappeared from the public eye after Epstein’s death.
