The results are in: These were the favorite items worldwide on Amazon Prime Day
On Monday and Tuesday, Amazon AMZ, -1.08% celebrated Prime Day — a two-day sales event — and millions of consumers were enticed by the deals. Indeed, Prime members snapped up upwards of 175 million items during the sale period, Amazon announced Wednesday.
But perhaps the most interesting data to come out of Prime Day were some of the best-selling items in each country, excluding Amazon devices. These items which varied widely by country, though there were some similarities. In both the United States and Canada, the LifeStraw Personal Water Filter and the 23andMe Health + Ancestry kits made the best-sellers list, for example; and in a handful of countries vacuums, diapers and gaming consoles made the cut.
