Jones is the second Alabama alumnus to earn first-team recognition on the NBA’s All-Defensive team, which has been selected annually since 1969, joining Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace, who was chosen in the 2009-10 season.Jones collected the fourth-most points in the voting by a panel of 99 sportswriters and broadcasters for the All-Defensive team. Jones received 66 first-team votes and 27 second-team votes for 159 points .
Gobert was a unanimous selection with 198 points. Wembanyama received 86 first-team votes and 12 second-team votes for 184 points, Adebayo received 73 first-team votes and 22 second-team votes for 168 points. Davis received 60 first-team votes and 31 second-team votes for 151 points.
