A promising home-track mare is set to pay back punters at Tuesday’s feature Scone meeting.
Hellcibell, from the leading Brett Cavanough stable, was heavily backed on debut at Scone two weeks ago, but failed to run down the one-time favourite after looming like the winner at the 250m.Back 100m in distance and having worked well in the lead-up, Hellcibell looks beautifully placed in a Maiden Plate over 1200m, with senior jockey Mitchell Bell taking over.
One of them, talented Press Statement filly Altisima, resuming for only her second start, emerged as the main rival in early betting.
