Heimir Hallgrimsson will name his first Ireland squad on Thursday with Lee Carsley also revealing his England pick
Seamus Coleman has handed Heimir Hallgrimsson a timely boost as the new Ireland boss prepares to name his first squad today.
And skipper Coleman was last night passed fit for the Nations League double-header on September 7 and 10 - and has made the cut. But the Donegal man, 35, returned in Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup win over Doncaster Rovers and told Hallgrimsson yesterday to count him in.“He’s very fit. He’s come out super fit this year, and his base fitness is very good. He was adamant he wanted to play and he looked clear-minded about it.”
The teenage striker was deemed fit enough to be an unused sub in Brighton’s Carabao Cup win over Crawley Town on Tuesday.
