to develop a dual-comb spectrometer setup for measurements of atmospheric carbon dioxide and methane concentrations. Based on two laser frequency combs operating in the shortwave infrared spectral range, the goal is to install and test a prototype system in the la-boratory and then, explore its capabilities by deploying it for long open-path measurements above the city of Heidelberg. In the long run, we want to contribute to developing DCS into a tool for atmospheric composition monitoring.
