HEAVY rains flooded parts of Metro Manila, especially in the cities along South Luzon Expressway such as Taguig, Pateros, and Muntinlupa, resulting in heavy traffic.
The Office of the Civil Defense-National Capital Region said flooding was aggravated by the temporary closure of the drainage system to facilitate road construction in the area.No damage or casualties were reported as of posting time, the OCD-NCR said.
It said it continuously monitors the situation and has coordinated with the Metro Manila Development Authority for updates.The OCD-NCR said that Metro Manila is currently experiencing light to moderate with occasional heavy rains due to a low pressure area .
