JOHOR BARU: People have been evacuated to temporary flood relief centres due to continuous heavy rainfall in some parts of the state, which has also resulted in some major roads in cities being flooded.
One of the affected areas is Jalan Kota Tinggi-Mersing where the water level from the nearby Sungai Ara has risen and flooded the road.
“Follow the road signs and drive carefully. They should also listen or pay attention to any traffic announcement made by the authorities, ” he said when contacted. The PPS has been operating since Sunday as three villages have been affected by the floods, namely Kampung Baharu, Kampung Changi, and Kampung Jumis Bukit Raja.
