Continuous heavy rain has led to flooding in nearly 10 villages in Kuala Krai, Malaysia, since Tuesday afternoon. The Kuala Krai Fire and Rescue Station chief stated that no evacuations have been necessary so far, but residents are advised to remain vigilant.
KUALA KRAI : Continuous heavy rain has resulted in nearly 10 villages in low-lying areas such as Kuala Nal, Kuala Pertang, and Chenulang here to be flooded since 2pm on Tuesday .
"As of 6pm, no victims have been evacuated to the temporary relief centres and we hope that local residents remain alert to and careful about any potential flooding in their area," he said when contacted by Bernama. Meanwhile, a resident of Kampung Sungai Embak, Azila Abdul Aziz, 38, said that every year when heavy rain occurs, her house is often flooded.
