Onn Hafiz said agriculture was the only sector that recorded growth during the Covid-19 pandemic and contributed 12.9 per cent to the state’s GDP.
Sarawak Deputy Education, Innovation and Talent Development Minister Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee said people with NCD usually did not show any symptom, so it was advisable to do a health check.“Diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease are non-communicable diseases but it becomes of concern when there is family history with NCD.
Dr Annuar thanked the Health Ministry for choosing seven locations in the Nangka constituency for the programme. “They offer comprehensive services including physical examination such as the body mass index, vital signs and blood tests. “However, blood screening is only for B40 families, so take this opportunity to get a free health screening.
“Those wanting to do a check-up have to fast for 10 hours before coming for the health screening,” he added.
