(Reuters) - Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger's removal has put an abrupt end to his role in the struggling chipmaker's turnaround efforts, leaving Wall Street with doubts whether his ambitious revival plan is headed for the chopping block.

PUTRAJAYA: Health officers from the Health Ministry do not possess the authority to arrest and detain individuals suspected of infectious diseases in the same manner as criminal cases handled by the police.

"Under Act 342, there is no mention of arrest powers; it only allows for detention to gather further information from patients," he said during a press conference here on Tuesday . "This is one of the perceptions that have arisen and been circulated by certain parties, suggesting as if we are detaining individuals .

PDK refers to any health officer, environmental health officer, or officer appointed by the minister under Section 3 of Act 342.
