As Covid-19 cases have again increased, a health expert warned against a new variant — Arcturus XBB.1.16 — a 'descendant' of Omicron.
Dr. Tony Leachon said that the World Health Organization has alerted countries about Arcturus which it deemed a variant of interest.Symptoms of this variant are fever, cough, sore throat, fatigue and conjunctivitis or sore eyes, which was not seen in the previous variants.'This should be something we should watch out for but we should not panic because these are milder cases,' Leachon said in a video interview with The Manila Times.
'It's something the public should be concerned about, but we should not panic because most of these cases will be milder,' he said.
