CIGNAL took the bronze medal with a 25-22, 23-25, 25-20, 25-18 victory over F2 Logistics last night, pouncing on the Cargo Movers’ miscues late in the third and dominating the next to end its Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference campaign with another podium finish at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City Sunday night.

Cignal took the pivotal set as it cashed in on four F2 Logistics’ miscues in the stretch, including a mis-receive that led to an easy, set lead-grabbing Doria kill to the delight of the packed Sunday crowd that included 7-3 Kai Sotto, who is set to attend the Team Gilas practice for the first time today .

“We survived the whole conference practically healthy. We had injuries but they were very light. We’re very happy with the bronze,” said Cignal coach Shaq delos Santos. Rachel Anne Daquis matched Cayuna’s six-point game while Gandler finished with five markers and Acuna and Riri Meneses had four points apiece to underscore the HD Spikers’ balanced scoring.
