Noong Biyernes aniya ay pinalala lamang ito ng pheno­menon na tinatawag na thermal inversion, na nagaganap kapag nakulong ng mainit na hangin ang mas malamig na hangin, kabilang na ang mga pollutants mula sa mga sasakyan at mga industriya.
