Disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein flew first class from Los Angeles to New York City Wednesday on the LA County DA’s dime, according to a report.

Harvey Weinstein flew first class from Los Angeles to New York City this week — and taxpayers covering the cost of the disgraced film producer’s trip. Weinstein flew on a commercial airline Wednesday, seated in a first class cabin with investigators and medical personnel, with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office picking up the tab for the flight,“[Weinstein] was returned to New York via a method we typically use pursuant to our extradition agreement with New York,” a spokesman for the LA County DA told the celebrity news outlet.in February to an additional 16 years in prison on charges of rape and sexual assault.
He was originally at the Wende Correctional Facility, a maximum security prison, near Buffalo, but following a review of his medical needs, the state chose to house him elsewhere, the outlet reported. Mohawk is a medium security prison that offers “sex offender treatment programs,” according to its website. Weinstein’s attorneys have said that he suffers from cardiac issues, diabetes and eye problems.
