Video of the alleged spitting incident, which some have dubbed “Spitgate,” has gone viral in the past 24 hours. Through memes and legitimate video breakdowns, the debate has been endless on whether or not Styles spat on his co-star.Thankfully, we now have some resolution as Chris Pine’s representative issued a statement debunking the matter.
“This is a ridiculous story — a complete fabrication and the result of an odd online illusion that is clearly deceiving and allows for foolish speculation,” the rep told. “Just to be clear, Harry Styles did not spit on Chris Pine. There is nothing but respect between these two men and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist.”
