To promote the new Warner Bros studio tour in Tokyo, one star from the original Harry Potter movies explores some iconic Hogwarts sets.
Harry Potter star Matthew Lewis has indulged in some major magical nostalgia. Lewis played the character of Neville Longbottom in the Potter movies, which began with 2001's Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and ended in 2011 with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2. Neville is a nerdy and forgetful secondary character who eventually rises to importance during the fight to stop the rise of the dark lord Voldemort.
What Matthew Lewis Has Done Since Harry Potter For a full decade, the Harry Potter series took up every moment of Lewis' time. Once the franchise ended, the actor moved on to several other prominent roles. Although he has since split his time between movies and television, one of his most prominent features was the popular 2016 romance Me Before You.
One of his first prominent television roles also premiered in 2016. He joined the detective drama Ripper Street as Sgt. "Drum" Drummond in season 4, a role he would reprise in the following season. Since then, he has appeared on seven episodes of the James Herriot adaptation All Creatures Great and Small, which premiered on Channel 5 in 2020.
The Harry Potter franchise remains one of Lewis' most prominent and beloved roles. However, as he continues branching out and playing different types of characters, he will likely continue finding new roles that become popular. This doesn't prevent him from revisiting his younger years, as this video proves, but Neville is just one facet of a much wider career that still has many places to go.
