A new video following the release of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny celebrates star Harrison Ford’s birthday and his wide-ranging career.

A new Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny video celebrates the extraordinary career of Harrison Ford for his 81st birthday, spotlighting all of his most iconic roles. After first playing Indiana Jones back in 1981, Ford hangs up his hat with James Mangold's latest sequel. While he is best known to many as the intrepid archeologist, Ford has played a number of standout characters in a number of truly memorable films over the last four decades.

Now, a new video shared by Lucasfilm, featured below, celebrates Ford's birthday and his remarkable career, from playing Indiana Jones to Star Wars' Han Solo, and from CIA analyst Jack Ryan to the President of the United States, and beyond! SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT In addition to featuring footage from his most memorable films, the touching video also features the likes of Steven Spielberg and George Lucas talking about exactly what makes Ford such a great actor. While Spielberg makes the claim that Indiana Jones wouldn't have achieved the same level of success without Ford, Lucas says that Ford "hits that sweet spot where he's just right for a 'regular guy'.

Harrison Ford's Most Iconic Roles With Indiana Jones and Han Solo alone, Ford has played two of the most memorable movie characters of all time. The star has now played Indy in five features films and Han in four, spanning four decades. Beyond his work in those two major franchises, however, Ford has also given audiences some other iconic heroes.

The '90s is a similarly strong decade for Ford, featuring him taking on the role of Jack Ryan in Patriot Games and its sequel Clear and Present Danger, which is arguably even better. Between these films, of course, Ford would memorably play Dr. Richard Kimble in The Fugitive. Later that same decade, Ford would also famously play President James Marshall in Air Force One.
