Retired Army officer leads Democratic race to challenge Scott Perry for U.S. Congress

In the 9th Congressional District, incumbent U.S. Rep. Daniel Meuser, a Republican from Luzerne County, will face Democrat Amanda Waldman of Lycoming County. The district covers all of Bradford, Columbia, Lebanon, Montour, Northumberland, Schuylkill, Sullivan, Susquehanna and Wyoming counties, and parts of Berks, Luzerne and Lycoming counties.
