In the upcoming school year, students from Big Spring, Carlisle, Central Dauphin, Cumberland Valley, Harrisburg, South Middleton, and Susquehanna Township high schools will participate in an online afterschool course to earn an industry certification and college credits.
Thirty of the students who complete the afterschool program will be selected to enroll in a NuPaths pre-apprenticeship program as juniors and seniors during the 2023-2024 school year., NuPaths is a college alternative for recent high school graduates, veterans and those in career-transition. Students learn information technology skills and receive certifications.
NuPaths also works with high school students through programs embedded into the school day and in afterschool programs. NuPaths has educated more than 400 students, who have earned more than 750 certifications and almost 1,700 college credits. NuPaths has worked with high school students from 25 school districts.
