Kota Kinabalu: Sambutan pertama Hari Sabah di Tambunan pada 31 Ogos, yang diumumkan Ketua Menteri Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, merupakan realisasi tiga entiti Persekutuan Malaysia yang terdiri daripada Malaya, Sabah dan Sarawak.
Setiausaha Agung Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku Sabah Datuk Edward Linggu berkata, sambutan pertama Hari Sabah setelah 60 tahun British meninggalkan Borneo Utara merupakan penghormatan kepada rakyat Sabah.“Sambutan rasmi Hari Sabah yang pertama turut menandakan suara lantang pejuang hak asasi Sabah, Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey G Kitingan selama ini telah didengar dan dilaksanakan kerajaan,” katanya.
