KUALA LUMPUR: Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh arrived at Bukit Aman Tuesday (June 23) morning to give her statement over her tweet asking about the future of the National Strategic Plan in handling the causes of child marriage.

The former deputy women, family and community development minister arrived close to 10am at Bukit Aman accompanied by her lawyers Gobind Singh Deo and Syahredzan Johan.

Other Pakatan Harapan leaders, including DAP chairman Tan Kok Wai, PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil and Parti Amanah Negara women's chief Senator Aiman Athirah Al-Jundi, were seen in front of the gates in a show of support. On June 17, Bukit Aman said Hannah would be investigated under Section 505 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 over the Tweet she posted in March.

Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Huzir Mohamed, in a statement, had said Yeoh’s posting had seditious tendencies and could incite certain parties.
