PETALING JAYA: Menteri Belia dan Sukan memberi peringatan kepada semua atlet negara untuk meraih kemenangan dalam apa jua sukan
yang diceburi dengan bermaruah dan berintegriti agar kejayaan yang dilakar dapat dibanggakan dan dihormati.
“Kita selalu amalkan Kod Sukan Selamat jadi saya berharap perkara sebagai pengajaran. Saya minta atlet kita jangan terpengaruh perkara seperti ini dan jangan ambil jalan singkat dapatkan duit untuk cepat kaya. Jumaat lalu, Persekutuan Badminton Dunia menggantung bekas pemain perseorangan lelaki, Liew Daren dan penganalisis Institut Sukan Negara Jerry Gan, masing-masing selama 12 dan tiga bulan selepas didapati terbabit dalam kegiatan pertaruhan.
