: The Youth and Sports Ministry today announced the formation of the Road To Gold project team aimed at coordinating the country’s efforts in its quest to bag Malaysia’s first Olympic Games gold medal.
In addition, Malaysian Football League CEO Stuart Ramalingam is the project coordinator and he will be assisted by Akademi Badminton Malaysia CEO Michelle Chai. Meanwhile, Norza said 2020 Tokyo Olympic silver medallists Datuk Mohd Azizulhasni Awang and men’s badminton doubles bronze medallists Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik are almost certain to be in the project.“It’s because we haven’t gone through the qualifying process for the Olympic Games and the athletes will be identified by the group that is in the Podium Programme for us to see what is required for them to achieve success,” he said.
