Severe Tropical Storm Hanna continued to move 20 kph on its west northwestward path over the Philippine Sea, according to PAGASA’s 11:00 PM cyclone bulletin on Thursday.
Chances of landfall are low as the storm is predicted to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday morning or afternoon as it accelerates towards the southern Ryukyu Archipelago.
No tropical cyclone wind signals have been issued during the most recent bulletin, but the enhanced Southwest Monsoon will also bring gusty conditions over the following areas: Saturday: Batanes, Ilocos Region, Abra, Benguet, Zambales, Bataan, Bulacan, Aurora, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, and the northern portion of Eastern Visayas.
Rough sea conditions due to the enhanced Southwest Monsoon has also called for a gale warning to be in effect for most seaboards in Luzon and Visayas.
