KOTA KINABALU: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has given Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor fresh backing to lead Sabah.
In his address to federal and state civil servants here on Tuesday , the Prime Minister urged the people to allow Hajiji – whose leadership of the state was challenged over a month ago – the space to spearhead the state.
"It turns out that his gentle nature, his political skills, were nonetheless terrific," he said to loud applause from the floor. When asked later if the Sabah government was his idea of a unity government, Anwar said:"Our position is that we invite everyone. But based on the peculiar experience of the state, I leave it to the wisdom of the state to discuss and decide."
