Haj scam crackdown collaboration underway

KUALA LUMPUR: Here is a recap of the announcements that made headlines in Corporate Malaysia.

SHAH ALAM: Lembaga Tabung Haji will collaborate closely with the Malaysian Commu­nications and Multimedia Com­mission and the police to combat fraudulent haj packages, says Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar.

He said instructions have also been issued to Tabung Haji group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Syed Hamadah Syed Othman to give closer attention to cases involving fraudulent hajj packages. Earlier, the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, reminded Muslims in his address at the ceremony not to exploit one another by offering fraudulent haj packages for profit.
