The southwest monsoon or habagat will bring cloudy skies and rain showers over parts of the country on Thursday, PAGASA reported.
The weather bureau, meanwhile, continues to monitor the tropical storm outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility .
Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, Occidental Mindoro, northern portion of Palawan, and Lanao del Norte will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon. Flooding or landslides may occur in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
