'I feel very proud that we were able to, maybe, make some divorces a little bit easier, happier,' the Goop founder said (via toofab)

"It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate," the pair said at the time.

The former couple dissected"conscious uncoupling" by explaining that when the"whole concept of marriage and divorce is reexamined, there's actually something far more powerful—and positive—at play." "By choosing to handle your uncoupling in a conscious way, regardless of what's happening with your spouse, you'll see that although it looks like everything is coming apart; it's actually all coming back together," they continued.

Paltrow has since remarried, tying the knot with Brad Falchuk in 2018. Martin, meanwhile, has been linked to Dakota Johnson since 2017.
