The deceased, a distinguished Biochemistry scholar from Niger State, was known for his devout religious beliefs and humble demeanour, as described by his colleague Dr. Bello Arkilla. The statement read, “The death has occurred of Prof. Yusuf Saidu, the current Deputy Vice Chancellor Research Innovation and Development Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto.
