“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the injured officers and all the officers handling the Newark attack. This level of violence must be stopped and condemned by everyone,” said New Jersey State Police Benevolent Association President Patrick Colligan. “It could have been combustion from the bullets,” he said. He did not see any wounded police officers. The fire department arrived put the fire out, as more cops arrived on the scene.
