Farther to the west, in portions of southern and southeastern Texas, moisture from Lidia will be reduced by a wedge of dry air in the region. The once Category 4 hurricane deposited much of its rain on the west coast of Mexico into Tuesday night and has been wrung out by the high mountains farther inland.
"There will be some nasty thunderstorms in Florida Wednesday night," AccuWeather Chief On-Air Meteorologist Bernie Rayno said. Even outside of any surviving thunderstorm complex, individual thunderstorms and groups of thunderstorms may produce damaging wind gusts, flash flooding and a tornado.
